“F-ck you!” Yup, that’s how it all began. I’ll never forget the morning I became unhinged while attempting to get my mother settled into her new home—a Nursing Home.  I received a phone call. The person on the other end tried my patience and I clapped back.  I’ve never had an issue with expressing myself.  However, in this moment I realized I was out of pocket, and needed to do something about it.  If you know anything about caring for a parent, it ain’t easy.  At that time, I was stressed, depressed, anxious and really irritable. The type of irritable when someone says, “Good Morning” you want to punch them in the face (but of course you don’t do it).

I needed to channel the negative energy into something creative—something positive.  Laughter.  Laughter is good for the soul, and boy did I need it. I love to play games, but I didn’t know the first thing about creating one.  I did a lot of research and figured it out.  I taught myself how to use Adobe Illustrator and InDesign (YouTube and Lynda.com will save your life).  I enlisted the help of some friends, put pen to paper, and the rest is history!

I began writing March 8, 2016 and had the majority of the game written and designed in three months.  I had a complete game by the end of the year, and now I am about to share it with the world!

I am humbled.  I am excited.  And most importantly, I am smiling again.
